Mary Francis Kelley, 83, of Burley, died Wednesday morning, July 24, 2002, at her home. She was born September 8, 1918, in Albion, Idaho, the daughter of Sebastian Cabbott and Agnes Ann Bradbury Kelley.

She received her education in Albion. She married Verl Bahr Winward on April 20, 1936, in Burley. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on December 15, 1937. They lived in Chesterfield and Grace, Idaho, returning to Burley in 1951, where she has since resided. Mary worked at Owen’s Ideal Dry Cleaners for many years and later was the Food Service Manager at Overland School and Mountain View Grade School in Burley, retiring in 1983. As a member of the LDS Church, Mary had served in many capacities including President of the Primary, Mutual, and Relief Society.

She and her sweetheart served as missionaries in the Arizona Holbrook Mission. Mary was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother! She loved her family and dedicated her entire life to loving and serving them. She loved to sew, crochet, quilt and was an outstanding cook! She is survived by her children, Reva Larry Anderson of Burley, Verla Dave Brooke of Syracuse, Utah, LaPreal Gordon Lynes of Burley, and Brenda Goodsell of Mountain Home, Idaho; her siblings, Ray Ellen Kelley and Donald Pat Kelley both of Burley, and Ellen Elmer Bortz of Klammath Falls, Oregon; 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Verl, who died on June 19, 2001, three brothers, eight sisters, a son-in-law, and one granddaughter.

The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 27, 2002, at the Burley Second, Fourth, and Tenth Ward Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 515 East 16th Street, with Bishop Monte B. Carlson officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant View Cemetery. Friends may call at Rasmussen Funeral Home, 1350 East 16th Street, Burley, on Friday, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., and at the church on Saturday, from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m.Twin Falls
