When Charles Andrew Winward was born on February 19, 1871, in Payson, Utah, his father, Peter, was 38 and his mother, Lucinda, was 33. He married Florence Nebeker Sargent on May 15, 1889, in Manti, Utah. They had 13 children in 24 years. He died on May 20, 1950, in Burley, Idaho, at the age of 79, and was buried there.

Burley – Charles Andrew Windward, 79, died Saturday at his home in Burley following a long illness.
He was born Feb. 19, 1871, at Payson, Utah, a son of Peter and Lucinda Bingham Winward. He was married to Florence Sargent, on May 15, 1889, in the Manti temple, in 1917, and farmed at Unity until 1925 when he moved to Burley.
His wife died here on Jan. 15, 1945. He is survived by seven of his 11 children: Claude Winward, Dellis, Emer, Dennis, and Nolan Winward, all Burley. Mrs. Lucille Bird, Springville, Utah, and Mrs. Ireia Stoddard, Shelley. 38 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and five sisters, Mrs. Sarah Curtis. Long Beach, California, Mrs. Mary Taylor and Mrs. Minnie Tanner. Payson, Utah. Mrs. Ella Stone, Salem, Utah, and Mrs. Iva Martell, Florida.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 3:30 P.M. at the L.D.S. tabernacle with Bishop Vern Carter officiating. Burial will be in the Burley cemetery.
