Mary Frances Ruppe

Mary Frances Taylor Ruppe, age 89, of Henrietta, NC, passed away Monday, August 12, 2019 at her residence.

Mary was born May 10, 1930 in Chesnee, SC to the late William Misher Taylor and Mary Elizabeth Smith Taylor. She worked for Broyhill Furniture for many years before retirement and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She enjoyed participating in various activities at the Rutherford County Senior Center.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, L.C. Ruppe, Sr.; three brothers, Willie, Grady and Clifton Taylor and three sisters, Vera Hayes, Estelle Fields and Eva Taylor.

Those left to cherish her memory include four sons, Cecil Ruppe (Jackie) of Marion, Bruce Ruppe (Pat) of Spindale, L.C. Ruppe, Jr. (Sandy) of Ellenboro and Mike Ruppe of Henrietta; five daughters, Rhonda R. Smith, Christine Smith (Delano) of Golden Valley, Vickie Potter (James) of Mooresboro, Rita Harris (Dale) of Mooresboro and Lynn Greene (Gary) of Forest City; one sister, Ruby Taylor Dukes or Ruth Community She is also survived by twenty-two grandchildren, forty-four great-grandchildren and ten great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 250 Mt. Pleasant Church Road, Forest City with Bishop Kenneth Oliphant, Bishop Ray Ruppe and Reverend Tripp Queen officiating. Interment will follow in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
